Share your IT roles with agencies that have the candidates
Post a live IT or technology vacancy once. Split Fee matches it against candidates held by recruitment agencies across the UK, keeps your client's name back until you both sign the placement, and splits the fee when you place together.
A job share, run for you
Some agencies call it a second-tier arrangement, others a job share or a split. Whatever you call it, you hold the client and the role, a partner agency brings the candidate, and you divide the fee when the candidate starts. Split Fee runs that for permanent roles, from the first match to the payment, including who invoices the client.
How it works when you hold the role
- 1
Post the role
Job title, seniority, the skills that matter, salary range, location and remote policy. Your client's name stays with you. Watch how to post a vacancy.
- 2
Set the fee
A fixed fee or a percentage of salary, with rebate tiers if you want them. You set the terms before anyone sees the role.
- 3
Review your matches
Candidates from other agencies are scored against the role on skills, location, salary and seniority. You see an anonymised profile. They see an anonymised role.
- 4
Place together
When the candidate starts, Split Fee invoices your client, collects the fee and pays both agencies their share.
IT roles that suit a split
A split works best where the skills are specific. An agency that works that market every day may already know the person your client wants.
- Software engineering and development

- Cloud, infrastructure and DevOps
- Cyber security

Questions we get asked
- Does the other agency see who my client is?
- No. Your client's name stays hidden from the candidate's agency until both agencies have signed the placement, and the candidate's name stays hidden from you until then too.
- Who sets the fee?
- You do, when you post the role. Choose a fixed fee or a percentage of salary, and add rebate tiers in case the candidate leaves early. Each agency receives 45% of the fee on the Free plan, 46% on Pro.
- Can I share contract or interim roles?
- No. Split Fee handles permanent placements only.
- Do I need my client's agreement to share a role?
- Yes. You need your client's authority to advertise and share the role, and written terms of business with them before a placement goes ahead. The client relationship stays yours throughout.
